Southpaw was contacted by the WELS Choral Fest board to build the campaign graphics for the 2019 National WELS Choral Fest held at Winnebago Lutheran Academy.

Inspired by Location
Since this year's festival was held at WLA in Fond du Lac, WI; we used the surrounding landmarks as inspiration in the illustration. A stained glass illustration technique was taken as the creative direction to also allude to the Christian message and purpose of the concert.
Illustrated Composition
Diagonals that interrupt and merge with the illustration was the key to making this composition striking and engaging. As mentioned in the inspiration, the FDL lighthouse, St. Peter's church, and WLA can all be seen within the illustration.
Simplifying to expand
The illustration may seem complicated, but simplifying it down to one color makes it practical and able to work across various applications.
